Moscow Mule

It’s not from Moscow, and it contains no mules – but it surely does have a heck of a kick!

You will need:

  • 50ml Vodka
  • 120ml Ginger Beer
  • 1 dash Bitters (optional)
  • Lots of Ice
  • Slice of lime to serve

Method:

  • Simply pour all of the ingredients into your traditional Moscow Mule Mug, stir and enjoy with a lime garnish. Any standard sized tumbler will work just as well, if you don’t happen to have a Moscow Mule Mug.

Mojito

From the sun kissed beaches of Cuba, right in your own home - this refreshing cocktail is sure to get any party started!  We even have a handy Mojito set with everything you need to get the party off with a bang!

You will need:

  • 60ml White Rum
  • 1 Lime (or 60ml lime juice)
  • 1 Teaspoon Icing Sugar
  • 4 Mint Leaves
  • Soda Water
  • Ice
  • Mint sprig & slices of lime to garnish

Method:

  • Place mint leaves and icing Sugar in the bottom of a cocktail shaker and muddle to release the oils from the leaves
  • Fill the shaker with ice, then add the rum and lime juice
  • Shake well and pour into an ice filled tumbler
  • Top up with Soda Water and garnish with mint springs and a slice of lime

Vitamix Eggnog

Velvety, creamy and totally luxurious – best enjoyed with your feet up, in front of a roaring fire, with loved ones.

You will need:

  • 4 Eggs
  • ½ Cup White Sugar
  • ½ Cup Rum (or less, or more – to taste!)
  • 4 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tablespoons ground nutmeg

Method:

  • Blend the eggs, sugar and rum in a blender (such as the Vitamix) on high, until a thick custard forms – this will take around 4 minutes
  • Add the milk and nutmeg – blend on medium until well mixed, around 2 minutes, then increase the speed to high for 1 minute to finish
  • Chill in the fridge for a few hours before serving
  • Serve with a little sprinkle of nutmeg for a final flourish

This recipe will work perfectly in any blender, but in a conventional blender the egg will not be cooked as a Vitamix does, therefore it is not recommended to serve to those at risk from consuming raw eggs. (Pregnant women, small children the elderly & infirm)
