|Address:||Steamer Trading, 7-11 Princes Street , Harrogate HG1 1NG
In August 2015, Steamer Trading opened it’s doors to the exquisite spa town of Harrogate. Snuggled in the very heart of Yorkshire, Harrogate is home to many beautiful parks and quaint tearooms including the world renowned Betty’s Tea Rooms. We have always prided ourselves on balancing new and innovative cookware with traditional time-tested kitchen tools and, with it’s mix of cosmopolitan charm and chocolate box streets, we struggle to think of a more fitting location for Steamer Trading than Harrogate.
Harrogate was formed from two hamlets and only began to flourish when the first mineral well was discovered in 1571. Believed to have health-giving properties, Harrogate was styled as the “The English Spa” and begun to expand as people flocked from far and wide to bathe and drink the water. Capitalising on this and the popularity of the Royal Pump Room, Harrogate’s desirability soared in the 19th century and many of it’s current attractions were borne from this period.
Harrogate continues to prosper today, thriving as a tourist attraction and regularly topping ‘best places to live’ polls in the UK. Opened as Steamer Trading prepared to celebrate 30 years of providing good, old-fashioned customer service and expertise, Harrogate offers us a beautiful backdrop as we continue to build on those values.
