Here at the heart of Lymington High Street we love talking about food, and giving our customers the best advice to help them to cook for all occasions!
Situated on the edge of the New Forest, the lovely Georgian market town of Lymington is one of England’s finest. A water-lover’s paradise, with two marinas and two sailing clubs the town is home to Olympic legend Ben Ainslie – and even boasts a gold-painted postbox in his honour.
With a High Street and cobbled road leading to the Old Town Quay packed with interesting shops, it’s a wonderful destination for some retail therapy, too. Don’t forget the market which takes place on the High Street every Saturday – its history dates back to the 13th Century.
When we found our shop, it had been empty and unloved for many years. But with a little imagination and a lot of help from our builders, we set about renovating and restoring the Grade II-listed building to make it something special for the town. When we’d finished, we’d created a little bit of kitchen paradise on the South Coast – and from the reaction of our lovely customers, it seemed to be a welcome addition to the town.
Inside you’ll find a warm and inviting welcome and a wonderful selection of the very best cookware from around the world, from French copper pans to Italian design, Japanese knives to English bakeware and pottery. Whether equipping a kitchen or the galley on a boat, we’ll help you find the perfect thing.
